The semiconductor technology has tremendously changed the whole society since the invention of transistor and ICs, which have become the principal components of almost all electronic devices. Among them, flash memory, occupied 1/4 total IC market, is an important one. Expectations that further scaling conventional Flash memory might face insurmountable obstacles when reaching 16 nm nodes. In this talk, a brief introduction on flash memory will be firstly given and its challenges will be discussed. Then, research works of emerging memory in IMECAS will be introduced, including simulation, reliability, material, device and integration.
